Through this lesson we will be working on abstract studies inspired by textiles from travels and natural elements. I love to combine these two elements into my own palette and artwork by mixing neutral colors inspired by nature and vibrant jewel tones often fond in stones or global textiles. I love working on abstract studies to further explore color palettes. I find they are a perfect way to experiment with colors. Rather than focusing on a subject matter, you truly allow yourself to focus on the colors being used. These abstract studies can later be turned into backgrounds, torn up and used in mixed media pieces or art journaling, or you can use elements and add them into your abstracts, florals, landscapes, or portraits.
