Art Passports: Introduction to Japan

I start each Art Passports journey by gathering photos and inspiration and then selecting my own color palette to be used in my work. By building a vision board both on Pinterest and on my wall, I start to gather inspiration and reflect on key elements, textures and colors from a country. This process helps me navigate my own perspective on a country especially if it is a place I have not visited before. Since we did go to Japan, I started with my own photographs below and then created my own Pinterest board for inspiration.

By limiting your color palette, you eliminate the worry of what colors to use next and it also allows you to create a cohesive body of work throughout your studies.
