Seeking Opposites

One of my favorite color combinations to use in my artwork are complimentary colors or two colors directly across from each other on the color wheel. I find the contrast to be so beautiful. In fact my favorite art, photography, home decor, or clothing are all full of opposites.

I think we can even embrace this theory in our own lives. It's one thing to find people that are all the same as you that you share similarities with but how many people in your life have viewpoints that are the opposite? If we stay open to people that may think differently, then we truly begin to see the world from an entirely new perspective.
