Nepal Farewell for Now...

I always find it difficult to venture on to the next country each month in our Art Passports journey. I barely touch the surface of the history, culture, people, cuisine, art, and textiles in a month. Yet, my goal in starting this art journey was to learn about many different cultures, to grow as a person and artist, and inspire others to open their minds and hearts to other people and places. I always feel energized and humbled with the more knowledge I collect about the world. My goal is to always be creatively curious.

Nepal holds my heart because of the depth of the people and culture. Although I have not visited personally, there seems to be a true “soul” to this country. The majestic backdrop of Mt Everest, the prayer flags draped across the skies, the diversity of the people all captured my heart.

Farewell for now…farewell until I rediscover your beauty through art or travels.

And for our next destination…Kenya!
