Connection - Mixed Media Journal Mini Lesson
There are so many invaluable lessons that travel has taught me over the years. I believe these lessons can be applied to our art journeys. One of the the most important lessons I learned, is how interconnected we all are. Differences aside, we are all human and our energy and lives are all intertwined. If we stay open and receptive to others, we grow from their experiences and perspective connecting to something much bigger than ourselves. Through this mixed media art journaling lesson, we will explore this concept through many layers of ephemera.
I will be working in my art journal in a variety of mediums including gesso, ephemera and collage items, acrylics, watercolor, inks, graphite, pen, and soft pastels. I have gathered some portraits of people from around the world from different countries, age ranges and backgrounds adding in symbolism of our greater connection to each other and all living things.
